Business and Partner Model for Windows Azure

On the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference last week the business and partner model for Windows Azure got announced.

(Daddy goes on vacation for two weeks and THIS happens. Man you can’t turn your back for a moment. ;~) )

Windows Azure:

  • Compute @ $0.12 / hour
  • Storage @ $0.15 / GB / month stored
  • Storage Transactions @ $0.01 / 10K

SQL Azure:

  • Web Edition – Up to 1 GB relational database @ $9.99
  • Business Edition – Up to 10 GB relational database @ $99.99

.NET Services:

  • Messages @ $0.15/100K message operations , including Service Bus messages and Access Control tokens

I have no clue as to how this offering stands up against the other clouds. Guess you’ll need to compare prices and service offering in detail to get a good comparison. If you do however find a review and/or comparison to other clouds, please comment this post so I may update!
