Øredev YouTube video – fun stuff (Oredev)

Mark and Marc from DPE UK presented at Øredev and also took the time to make this fun YouTube video of the event: Our Trip to Øredev 2008 (If you look closely you see a couple of clips from my apartment – where Elion intros himself and also where Glenn is on the screen.) Thanks you guys that was hilarious! Cheers, Magnus Technorati Tags: oredev,oredev08

More Øredev talk

I wrote a quick post on Øredev a few days ago: Øredev 2008 Aftermath. I was really power drained at the time and jotted down a few thoughts. Two of my colleagues chose a different (better) approach. To rest a few days and gather some info and then write a post on the conference! No I will show my true lazy side and just go: – Yeah! What they said: Linus Roslund: Øredev 2008 Feedback Tobias Fjälling: Recap from Øredev 2008 The event was a major success and we all loved how well it turned out!...

Øredev 2008 aftermath

Oh my, oh my! The Øredev years that have passed have all been great and the cheesy goal you always tend to set for your self is “how can we top this for next year”!? This is not a realistic goal for all years to come but our event is still growing and shaping itself in style, quality and size so we can afford this attitude a while longer. This year the speaker feedback and delegate feedback went completely over the top! It seems our event is very satisfactory and very different than many if not most other events...

Dynamically Generated Code at Øredev co-presented with Anders Hejlsberg

Here is my post of the code, the video by Anders Hejlsberg and the slides. (YES Anders Hejlsberg is doing a demo in the video attached below…) Phew! I’m through the rabbit-hole with my presentation at this year’s Øredev. It was a deep dive into generating code in the run-time. The presentation went very well. This is a very advanced topic to talk about and so I’m very happy with the furious feedback I got. Furious feedback is a system of having one red, one yellow and one green note in piles at the door and a...

From the Øredev speakers dinner (Oredev)

The speakers dinner was exquisite and hosted at probably the best location in Malmo, the City Hall! Very many thanks to the city of Malmo for hosting this dinner for us! Jim Coplien bragged about his mobile phone camera and… well it’s decent but not great. I’m still looking for either the phone with no camera or the phone with a camera that does not require me to have a phone as well. Still looking. Why am I forced to have a camera in my mobile phone that sucks? Another decent picture is that of me...

The Øredev 2008 Conference is here

At long last! I’ve waited so long for this… since last year! I will be documenting Øredev here in my blog. Tonight is the speakers dinner which every year is a very special event. This year, same as last year, Malmo City sponsors the speakers dinner and this year it is hosted in the City Hall! Check out the Øredev Flickr photos here! Man! I am EXITED about this! This event will ROCK! Cheers, M. Technorati Tags: oredev08
